At Dot's suggestion (and as usual a good one) I have enabled the calender function on the group Yahoo! site. It is set so that members can add events (notice that the time zone is Eastern). I have never done this before so bear with me but hopefully it will not require my intervention.
This function can be used for scheduling group events such as the one held in Etlanta or the upcoming in CA.
