Several members are anticipating the arrival of their new Birds in the next few days or weeks and I had to watch mine (really hers) being towed away on a flatbed to the dealership service department. Now I've got to explain to all my nosey neighbors that it was not repoed.

As I have said before, I'm not a motor man and don't know a darn thing about cars. Anyway, I went to get in my car and noticed a stream of fluid coming out from under the Bird where the passenger seat is. At first I thought it was water from the a/c. No such luck. I looked under the car and there was a puddle about 12 in. dia. It was not water. It had a slick feel to it. Don't know if it was oil, trans. fluid or what.

Hope we did'nt overreact, but we called Ford's Roadside Assistance. Within 30 min. a flatbed was here and towed it off. Sad sight.

BornAgain, are you sure it wasn't antifreeze. If you can't tell the color of the fluid this does have an oiley feel to it. If this wasn't antifreeze then you may have a problem. Well I guess you still have a problem if that is what it was. Was yours an early Bird that may have got between the cracks on the water pump problem?
