I have a 2002 T-Bird and have noticed a significant amount of heat onto my shins while driving. Of course if I have the A/C on, I don't feel it, but while just driving with the top down it is very noticeable. Does anyone know is this is just normal engine heat or should I be concerned.

Torch:
I've heard from someone who knows a lot about our Birds and received this comment: "It was suggested that his was lacking insulation under the rug where it should be. That might be her problem. There might also be a body seam under there that didn't get welded shut correctly."

So you may want to have a look under the carpet.
