My 2004 Bird had harsh shifting. After trying to get my ECM repaired to no avail I talked to the guys at Advance Auto Parts and found that they use Cardone for computer replacements. I ordered a new computer, got it programmed and now everything works properly.

"ECM" is not a sufficient title. Revising for you now.

That's great to know Dggt500, my 2004 TBird slams into gear in different situations. I've come to expect them, and have fun watching rider's reactions, as they always think the tranny just fell out. I'll check it out, there are Auto Zone's all over my area.

Who reprogrammed the computer for you please?

Question: When the ECM was replaced was it necessary to reprogram the keys and key fobs? In researching this one of the suppliers said it might need to be done.
