Hey Everyone!
I just replaced my engine thermostat.
Took me about an hour, but I was going into it blindly.
I think I can do one in about 35 minutes now with what I've learned.
If anyone is interested I will post a How To with pics of what I did.

My thermostat occasionally sticks and indicates the engine is overheating. Then, it releases and everything is fine in like -- 5 seconds. time for a new one or will this take care of itself? The car had been sitting for long periods before I bought it. 148K miles.

Sorry it has taken so long.
I have taken all the pics and started putting together a post when I continually started over heating.
I have finally found my root cause culprit. Seems I too have become victim of the fractured degas bottle.
So I thought I would wait and post pics from replacing it as well.
Please just be a bit more patient.
Thanks!
