Hey everyone,

I have a 65' and I tried replacing the air cleaner from an Edelbrock 1002 Pro Flo to an Edelbrock 1221 Pro Flo but the bottom piece does not sit flat because of a hose that's connected to the carburetor.

Is there anything I can do to make this work? Or am I installing the wrong model?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you have adequate under hood clearance, Edelbrock makes a plastic spacer ring that will pick the bottom of the air cleaner up aprox 3/4”. Available from Summit I believe or I’m sure on line.

Can you trim the filter base to fit around the hose flare or is it under the main part of the filter base?
