Hey everyone.. Since I spend most of my day on the computer because of my work, I thought I would share a couple important sites and some things I have learned along the way.

The first one is quite shocking and regards one of the most important aspects of your finances, auto and home insurance. Did you know that the FBIC ranks many of the "popular" insurance companies as bad faith insurers? These are companies that don't pay claims and have numerous complaints and law suits filed against them. If you have an accident, and it is your fault, is it fair for the other party to have to fight your insurance company to get it's money?

I have been insured under State Farm since I was 16 years old (16 years) This changed this week after watching this shocking video from Dateline NBC which won them numerous awards.

Here are links to the Dateline Video:

Here is the list of Bad Faith Insurers and Good Faith Insurers http://www.badfaithinsurance.org/indexdetaillist.html

I am a creature of habit just like everyone else, but I'm not risking my livelihood for loyalty. I made the calls, and switched to a good faith insurer, and if you are insured by one of the companies listed under bad faith, I recommend you do the same! The first 2 companies listed under good faith only insure big houses over 300,000, but Amica does most all of them. Another thing I found interesting about Amica is they are also the #1 pick by JD Power and associates http://www.jdpower.com/cc/auto/insuranceratings/FindInsuranceRatings.jsp

You know what is best of all? My insurance costs are 90.00/year lower now, and I wasn't even switching because of costs!
