My 2002 T Bird parts car radio has the CD ERROR. I decided to remove the radio and try and fix the cd mechanism.
The radio works perfectly, and sounds great, just no cd player.
I was not able to fix the cd drive, so after taking part number YL2F-18C821-AG if found a web site that sells the
complete cd mechanism. Expensive $160.00 but since I already have the dash apart, and radio apart, I decided to
order a new one. Here is the link for anyone else interested. Plus it will be a somewhat new radio for when one of
my better bird radios die.
