has anyone else experienced this problem. the driver side soft top latch on my 2002 has broken. can still be latched, but requires me to manually guide it to position while latching. seems like a spring issue. here's the kicker. i've had it in for service, they had to order the parts, haven't seen it in 3 months, have called several times, have been told that it is currently unavailable, and will not be available until another run of these parts is done by the subcontractor. any suggestions, referrals to a cooperative dealer, etc., would be appreciated.

thanks,

gary

I would tell them that you've been patient long enough. Get it now or take one off another car 😡

I had the same problem. The spring came out of one side and I figured I'd wait until I took it in for service, but then after I fiddled with it the other side broke. My dealer had a mechinic look at it and then they said they had to order the whole new header containing both latches. They got the part in a a few days later and installed it in a couple of hours, all under warrenty. This was only during this past summer.
