Is there a secret way to set sterring wheel and seat adjustment to return to the setting I want it to be? Seems the steering wheel resets itself to a position same time

the seat is not connected to that system it does not move with ignition at all. the steering wheel should always return to last position

I wish mine returned to last setting it seems like it returns to the last setting I always adjust it when I get in and start. There must be a saved setting way - the seat doesnt move so the steering wheel is a mystery in my 2002

I think if you set the steering wheel while the car is running, it should retain that position. you should also use the same key, as it remembers what that driver (key) set it up.

seat will return to same last position no matter which key you use. there are cars out there that do this but our thunderbirds are just not that smart

These were 56,000.00 MSRP when adjusted for inflation, you would think Ford would have had that feature, it was definitely in other cars of that era.

Frankly - I could do with less "smart" features; my 2016 Durango shuts off at every stop light unless you disable the function at every startup. So some gent invented a device to stop that feature that plugs into the ODBC port. Not counting you can't even shut the radio off completely; I have to set it to Sirius channel "0" which is the self-ident feature with no sound. Ridiculous. The retro birds have just the right amount of tech (once the CD player is replaced with a modern radio) for me.
