High speed fan noise...

After driving, at idle there is a loud, high speed fan noise, engine rpm's are normal; Ford dealer no help.

You might take it to your local Lincoln dealer. I've had good luck with them.

Not sure what year Bird you have but I believe the '02's have a hydraulic fan and some have had issues with the sensors. I suggest you search around an see if you can find similar issues here

Fan Noise -- Solution

After three visits to local Ford dealer and $575.00 in new parts, no solution. Took it to second Ford dealer -- problem solved in 10 minutes, bad thermostat. Oh, first dealer forked over full refund.
