Even though my original dealer was PO'd he cautioned me about the hard top. When he had his employees remove his the paint was damaged by the gasket, even after only 500 miles. He thought it was an abrasion problem, to me it looked like some one lubed the gasket and it was absorbed into the black paint, either way it could not be rubbed out. I immediately went home and removed my hardtop, and there was no damage. That top will not go back on my car until Ford (or someone) comes up with a solution (other than polishing) to correct this problem. Please evryone check your paint under your hardtop gasket.
