Nigel,

I can't yet tell in what order yours was built on 6/28 but up to and including 6/27/2005 there were 9,034 built. There were 63 built on 6/28 so yours was somewhere between the 9,035 and 9,097th one built for 2005. If you wanted to know how many total before yours for all years there were 31,368 2002s - 14,678 2003s and 12,757 2004s. Add the 2005s built before yours to determine the total. For how many were built after yours it's somewhere between 199 and 261.

There were only 115 exactly like yours. Or 117 if you count the one person who did not get the parking lamps and the one who did not get a top boot.

rarity-when made

I have a 2005, Bronze, sand interior, with fog lights, 7 spoke wheels, SS transmission, Sand colored top? (not sure, have not taken the hard top off to check). VIN is 1FAHP60A55Y105223.

Can you tell me when it was made and how rare it might be? Do you know the total number of 2005's that were made?

Question for Quickdraw.......

......I guess I can tie this into this thresd.....Just bought a 1/18 scale Maisto 'Bird M.S.G./Saddle.....Having never seen this combo in person....did any of this combo make it to Canada......It's quite a striking combo....Cheers! Martin.

.......I was going to ask you too......What is the skinny on the 3.9 .....I've heard varying stories....some were built in the States, some in the U.K....where did Wixom source them from? ....They were'nt built at Wixom were they?.....and why it wasn't continually developed as Ford was doing it for Jaguar anyway?....Just wondering......It's a sweet little eight in my opinion...Cheers! Martin.

All the Tbird & LS engines were built in Lima Engine Plant in Ohio. I took a group there for a tour in August 2004 and posted photos at you-know- where.

Oklahoma City?

If your car originally had a boot, but it was lost, it's one of only 30... if it was not ordered with the boot its one of only two. If you did not get the window sticker with your paperwork I can send you a PDF of it if you send me a private message with your email address.... however I won't be able to get it until Tuesday. The window sticker would say if it was ordered with the optional boot. Watch ebay for the boot, they come up from time to time.
Heres one now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ch.ebay.com:80/8028484867_W0QQfromZR40QQfviZ1
But I wouldn't pay that much - Usually you can get them for around $150 or maybe less.

This was the special editon for 2004 and they made exactly 1,000 of them. Did you buy it from Midway Ford - the dealer that originally sold the car? And did you get the window sticker?

Yes, the original owner traded it in for a {shudder} Fusion. Her husband had a T-Bird as well and I guess they needed a family car...I have the original sticker in front of me as well as all of the service records.

I had purchased a 2003 Focus from them in '03 and was taking it in for service, the T-Bird was on the used car lot and now it's mine, and I'm happy, my husband is happy (he despised the Focus), and all is well. I even have the name and phone number of the original owner, I considered calling her, but probably won't unless something unforeseen comes up with the Bird.

There's a limited-edition ID badge numbered in the glove box - 0921 of 1000.

Thanks for the info - you're the best!
