Hi;
Just thought this may help.
When the soft top is up or the hard top is on my 2004, I can't reach the door from the driver's seat when it's opened all the way.
So, I built this tool from an inexpensive cane and some handle grips.
Just cut the elastic cord and put two adjustable sections together. Add a grip to one end, and cut a grip in half for the orther.
Total cost was ~$24.
