Wife and I dearly enjoy our Bird. Often we need more seats for additional riders. Our hoped for solution? 2002 Lincoln LS V8 Premium or LSE. Cockpits would be very similar to the Bird and would not differ much in driving habits.
Any one know where we can get one with 20,000 less miles on it?

Last year I purchased a 2001 LS V-6. It was a 3000 mile factory official vehicle that was purchased by the local Ford Dealer for the owners wife to drive. When I bought it the vehicle had 9,000 miles. I paid 22K for the car which I thought was a good deal. It is a great car and you should have no problem finding one. I only have two complaints. This car seems to have considerable tire noise and it is absolutely the worst car in snow that I have ever owned. On dry pavement it is the best.

I have a 2000 LS 8 Premium Sport.

It is the BEST RWD car I have seen in the snow by far, let me tell you we have had our far share of snow this winter. I prefer this car to my old Lincoln Continental front wheel drive in the snow.
It is my "winter beater" since I store a mustang GT and 2002 'bird'.
Mine has the traction control option, I am not sure if it an option as it is standard in Canada.😉

The 'sport modle has a 'hard' suspension, more sport than the 'bird'. If you want more cush get the LS8 base or premium not the base sport or Premium sport.

I would opt for a 2003 with the extra ponies, better gear ratios, better gas milage etc.

I realy enjoy my 2000LS.

My LS only has traction control only and it is the worst rear wheel drive vehicle for traction and tracking, that I have ever owned. However, I believe the other option is called Advanced Track. I have a few friends that have that option on their LS V-8's and both claim that they have no winter problems. Hope that helps.

Go to LLSOC.Com for info on the LS. I have driven many and they are great cars. I drove an 02 V8 with 7,000 miles at Don Davis Lincoln today and they are asking $28,900 for it.

They are in Arlington, Texas off I-20. The saleman's name was James Normore and his number is 817.588.5475.

Side note they also have an 00 Jag Type S (36,000 miles) for $27,999 which is the same car as the LS and T-Bird and it drove great also.

My brother is looking for a new car and that is why I have been out driving cars.

Good luck.

LS has new home

I am really pleased with all the responses. I just purchased a 2000 LS Premium. It has same cockpit as the Tbird with some extra features. Really a nice car and drives very like the Tbird with an easier ride and a trunk that reaches into the back seat. It has 16,000 miles and no damage. $20,000 seemed like a fair price and it has less miles than my Tbird with 29,000.
Thanks again for all the help.
