1979 T-Bird rear quarter windows

Hey there just curious. Recently acquired a very clean and stock looking 79 T-Bird. The two side rear quarter windows are black glass, and inside the headliner and trim have no cut-outs for the windows (like for Landau). Again, it looks factory installed. I have not seen another like it. Has anyone run across this? TBIRDSIDE.jpg

That's a new one on me. The '79 I used to have did not have that.
 
Heritage edition had no 1/4 glass would have the vinyl roof over it. Never took off a roof on a 77/78/79 so not sure how they blocked it originally

Probably with a plastic or fiberglass plug.
