I just bought a 1965 Thunderbird hardtop 390 . Heater seems on all the time - I have factory AC but the heater core hoses seem hooked up as the non AC birds - no water check valve in circuit so water goes thru the core all the time. Does any one have a picture of the heater hose circuit with the water check valve? Can I place a manual cutoff valve in the heater core hose as I don't need the heater only drive it in the summer?

Which heater core hose does the heater check valve need to be placed (with factory AC) ?
Anyone have a picture of the heater check (flow) valve in proper placement?
Thanks for any help! Its a hot summer with the heat on continuously!!
