My 63 has the rear brake lights flickering when i drive on their own not when I'm using the brake pedal.
Was informed probably spring on brake pedal broken.
I have a small amount of play in the pedal causing it to bounce on the connection if i keep my foot under the pedal the lights do not flicker.
suggestions as to correct process to fix plus part number. i have not seen any springs in the repair manual

Brake pedal does not have a spring. It is possible the hog ring on the end of the rod going into the master cylinder is bad and that is causing your excessive play.
