The metal acess panel that acesses window regulator has an adjustable window stop, It looks like someone cut a piece of tire sidewall and wired it inplace. What did the factory have there for
a rubber stop?

There is a reproduction of the lower window stop. Most Thunderbird parts suppliers have them. there should be a slot in the metal bracket for the stop and the rubber has a tit that sticks into that slot and holds the rubber stopper in place.

Ok, so the 2 upper stops seem to be coated with a thick rubberized coating? One of those had multiple wraps of friction tape.

CASCO sells both the upper and lower window stops. The lower stop window stop bumper can be purchased by itself or it is included with the bracket. The upper window stop does not use a bumper, because it is rubber coated.

I ordered the lower rubber stop and bought some rubber coating that you dip the piece in until you get the correct thickness. Good to go.
