Time to nest the Birds, and this will be the first year I wont have heated storage or the opportunity to get to it till April. I have electric available so I was wondering about putting a Battery Tender on mine. Is this the preferred method for storage from Nov-April?

I just put mine up last week. I put stabil in the gas tank, hooked up battery tender, checked the tires, and that is it. I might start it once or twice during the winter if I remember.

It doesn't matter which one you get as long as the battery is good to start with either one will keep it charged over the winter. You might want to look at Seafoam gas treatment rather then Stabil it works on keeping the fuel system clean an also gets rid of any moister in the system and also cleans your O2 sensors. I have been using it for years and it has worked just fine. I got a tank of gas one time with water and after 2 treatments the water was gone and the car ran great again...... Good Luck Rick

Does not look like winter but shortly after this picture we got dumped. Wife's Honda and my SUV in garage Fun car has to go outside. Counting the days until mid April when winter finally breaks. IMG_0760.jpeg

LOL, weather has been crazy this year, I put my 2002 blue T-Bird in its unheated garage storage place under the same type car cover as above last November after Thanksgiving and have been backing it out of the garage and starting/running/warmup every 2-3 weeks to keep everything exercised. I keep no ethanol premium in the tank and full to keep the fuel pump lubricated and cool. The weather here in North Idaho has finally relinquished and I put it back on full insurance and have been driving it a bit on dry days. Soon the hardtop will come off too! Enjoy the cars everyone! We love ours!
