Trunk latch not catching 2002

I’m having problems with the trunk latch not catching. If I push down I can get it to latch but it will pop open if driving over a speed bump, etc. Any advice on ordering a new latch and replacing?

Seriously doubt you have a need for a new latch. I think it needs to be reajusted.
From your brief description of what is happening with the latch I think it is not fully engaged. It is a 2 piece thing, there is the latch it self on the body and the other is the closed loop of round metal on the trunk lid that the latch closes around when the lid is closed. Either one could be out of ajustment.
