The shop implied its going to need a PCM reprogram or replacement.
Apparently the PCM isn't talking to the TCM to shift from 1 to 2. Hopeful it's a simple reprogram rather than a replacement.
Does anyone know where to find full content of the technical service bulletin? Does it include the problem announcement and the fix? Thanks.
VEHICLES WITH THE CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MAY EXHIBIT A POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) NON-COMMUNICATION EVENT, WHICH COULD LEAD TO AN UNNECESSARY PCM REPLACEMENT USING NORMAL DIAGNOSTICS. VARIOUS MODELS INCLUDING THE 2003 SUPER DUTY. *TT
