I have had trouble with the traction control system in my 2002 Thunderbird. This results in jerking acceleration in an inconsistent pattern. Anyone else have similar problem?

Unless you are driving on wet and/or icy roads, the solution is to take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. That is not normal behavior.

Jay:
Before you go back to the dealer, you may want to try the Traction control switch. Change it to 'off' and drive then switch it back to 'on' and drive.
There were earlier post re. Traction control that you should be able to locate on this site by searching the topic "Traction control (off) position SOLUTION" dated 6-15-02
Also, one dated 2-20-02, topic was "Two questions". Last posting here ws by David A. regarding on/off locations. Hope some of this helps.
