temporary "humming noise"

After 2004 t bird is warm, there is a hum that is emmitted from the engine compart......seeems to cease after a few minutes....any advice?

A little more info - where does the hum seem to come from - if you can open the hood and pin point the sound by listening closely, also are there any vibrations or changes in engine idle/performance that accompany the hum?
 
thnx for reply..I did notice it runs hotter, then drops back when "humm" ceases.......
 
Thanks, I think it is the fan. I wonder if bearing are going out?
Quite noisy.
