Passenger window indexes up and down and activates car alarm

Hello, I just purchased my 2003 Ford Thunderbird (triple black) and a problem just came up that is baffling me. I can be driving or parked and the passenger window goes up and down the 1/4 inch to clear soft top. It does it randomly but eventually will activate my car alarm. The only way to stop it is to not lock car. I've tried re-indexing the window full down and hold button for about 3 seconds then full up and holding button about 3 seconds. The window will then stay all the way up for a period of time then starting the cycling of the 1/4 inch up and down randomly. I've searched the forum with no luck on a possible fix. I don't want to have to take it to FoCoMo unless absolutely necessary. Anyone's assistance would be greatly appreciated.
