3146 - MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL CONDITIONS
SOME 2002 THUNDERBIRD BUILT BEFORE 5/13/02 AND LINCOLN LS BUILT BEFORE 5/1/02
MAY EXHIBIT ELECTRICAL CONDITIONS AND DRIVEABILITY SYMPTOMS WHICH MAY BE
TRACED BACK TO THE MICRO-RELAY THAT PROVIDES POWER TO THE SUSPECT CIRCUIT OR
COMPONENT. THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS MAY BE AFFECTED: WIPER SYSTEM, FOG
LAMPS, HORN, A/C CLUTCH, IGNITION COIL ON PLUGS, HEGO HEATERS AND FUEL PUMP.
TO DIAGNOSE, WIGGLE TEST AND LIGHTLY TAP ON THE SMALL MICRO RELAY WHILE
OBSERVING THE COMPONENT OR VEHICLE SYSTEM OPERATION. REPLACE THE RELAY IF
ANY SUSPECT OPERATION IS DETECTED DURING TESTING, PART NUMBER F5TZ-14N089-B.
REFER TO EV/TM, SECTION 11, FOR RELAY LOCATION AND CIRCUIT DETAILS.

Online Automobile Service Information System - OASIS. Ask any for dealer to run a OASIS on your vehicle. They can run the basic OASIS or can run by certain componets ie: Air conditioner (noise, odor, won't cool,
etc) They are able to search for Technical Service Bulletins or Special Service messages on any componet and its symptoms.

Thanks carguy! I love it when I can get information that I need when I need it. I submitted a request using my VIN. I noticed Thunderbird wasn't listed in the drop down, I'm anxious to see what comes back from my request.

I would think the Ford dealer could run a report for you for a nominal fee if they charge anything at all...
