I just bought a new 2003 w/hardtop - Love the car.
Living in San Diego, CA unfortunately the weather (while not as cold as other parts of the country) has not cooperated so have not taken off the hard top yet. Looking forward to doing so next weekend. Have to take car into the dealer for the 5 year sealer on Tuesday. Thought I ought to leave the top on for that trip.

took off the top Sunday after reading - looks like the dealer did not put the strips under the top so now I have a new bird with 400 miles on it and some pretty bad scuff marks on the paint. Appt with dealer today to get the clear coat done - but will probably turn into a paint shop visit instead. Thanks for the heads up
