I have a question about cleaning and conditioning the black leather seats on my 2002 Bird. I have to admit that I have never done either all these years, so I could really use some good advice on what products you would recommend and how to proceed!

Many thanks,
Penny in San Diego

Hi Penny, Mothers Products make an excellent leather cleaner and treatment product. It comes in a kit and will probably take a couple of treatments to bring it back to new but it works great. Then depending how much you drive the car and how much time it is left in the sun will effect how often you need to treat it again. After you get it good and clean to keep it that way takes very little maintenance.
Not only the sun does damage but the heat can dry out the leather too. Think of it as a great pair of shoes and to keep them looking great the same goes for the seats. Good Luck Rick
