When I slam trunk lid my headlights flash. Having lots of electrical problems now wondering if this may have something to do with it. Thanks

They are I’ve had this car for several years and it’s always did this. Thank you

I've had to splice new connectors into several wire harnesses on my 19,000 mile 2002, the plastic had housings had gotten fragile and tabs were breaking off....especially in both tail lights, so maybe your issue is related. My car spends a lot of time on a maintenance battery charger and after a couple of weeks, if I reach and turn the headlights on manually - nothing happens....as soon as I open the door the switch works properly again and does so for another few weeks. Its like the electronics are telling the lighting system to shutdown temporarily after a long period of disuse - maybe normal ?
