Hard top chrome strip????

Has anyone gotten an update on the hard top chrome strip situation. I called my dealer, but they had no idea what I was talking about.

I will hate to use the white tape for the next 25 years.

All we know for sure about the deck chrome strip is that they were seen being installed on two pre-production 2003 thunderbirds going thru the assembly line a couple months ago. That probably only means that Ford is using those 2 cars to test the strips for use with the hardtops. Nothing more has been heard or seen about those strips. Anything else has been pure speculation.
