Great Site! Question on Cleaning Top

Just found this site a couple of days ago and really am enjoying it. Almost as much as my T'Bird. We got ours in December and had a great top down season until a couple of weeks ago. The hardtop works much better in summer in sunny Florida. We got an 05 Bronze premium with the light sand appearance package. Wife calls it her gold, golden anniversary T'Bird. And I thought I was buying it to replace my mustang GT. Only drawback so far has been dark lines on the convertible top where the frame folds. Not real noticable, just an annoyance. Anyone have tips for cleaning the soft top or know of any products that can be used for removing these marks?

Thanks

I understand the Ford dealer has a top cleaner that works good. It doesn't seem unreasonable to have the dealer demonstrate that it can be cleaned.
Describe your car, color hardtop, SST or not, what wheels etc and I'll tell you how many were made like that.

If you don't like the Ford dealers results, go to your nearest marine supply store. They have great products for cleaning these type materials.

Thanks for the info. Will try the marine supply store. Ford dealer couldn't help other than to tell me to call a detail specialist.
We got an '05 Premium, bronze with the light sand appearance package, SST, 17 spoke wheels. Last 6 of the VIN are 103657.

Again, thanks.

You have one of 333 if you have a bronze hardtop. I can't check your build date until I get back to work on July 18th. Please ask again then if I forget to answer.

Attached is what was sent with the 2004 models in the owners manual. Quote laughable.
