Those batteries require lithium which mainly comes from Afghanistan.
This is not true. While it has been reported that there are many UNTAPPED natural resources there, a quick google search of the top 10 lithium mines reveals Lithium is not being mined there in any significant amount.

Thank you for the correction. I had based my statement on a source that I thought was reliable. Please remove the post as I don’t want to spread misinformation.
