VIN #:1FAHP60A82Y120648

Thank you!...

Sophia,

1FAHP60A93Y108753
Ordered: 2/20/03
Produced: 3/25/03
At dealer: 4/2/03
Sold on: 7/7/03

The only thing that happened on 3/13/03 was that was the day the system decided what day your car would be built (based on options, orders, and etc). This is 3/13 date is called the "Blend day" and the dated sticker may have been printed that day as well.

By the way, since you said you have a white premium, with black accent, and I assume a white hardtop, yours is one of only 616 2003s similarly produced.

VIN #:1FAHP60A82Y120648

Produced: 6/11/02
At dealer: 6/28/02
Sold on: 5/30/03

Guess you got yours below invoice.... 😀

Quickdraw. thanks for the info on my 'Bird!.. I appreciate!...
And as for the comment about the price I got, yes, you're right...I got a pretty good deal on it! 😀 😀 ! Sticker price was $59,635. (canadian $ )...and I paid $46,000. The dealer gave me a good deal for two reasons: He was a friend of mine, and second he had another one in stock (Which he still hasn't sold, and is still for sale!...a brand new 2002!...) I suppose someone could get a good deal on that one too!!!
that's it!...again thank you!
'bye!

Claude 🙂

Thanks very much for the info
Ordered it....
I was told that the long wait to arrive at dealer was due to an overheating problem that the Ford engineers found in testing the 2002 production models. It's my understanding that the 2002's that had been shipped were all called back to Mich. for a fix and those that had not been shipped were fixed before being shipped to dealers. This resulted in a stop/slowdown of delivery.

My VIN Included

I would like to know when my '02 Blue Bird was built:

1FAHP60AX2Y128251

Many thanks,
Penny in San Diego

Penny, I cant tell you until Monday when your car was built but if you have a blue hardtop you have the twin to mine.

There were 840 2002 Blue/Blue/Black Accent/Premimums made. Plus I saw a totaled one for sale at ebay so theres only 837 unaccounted for.... 😀

Wow, my last 6 digits in my VIN are 111681. Let's see if your build is close to mine as posted above

Blue oil numbers

QuickD : On page 2, Blueoils numbers are January 2001. I thought all these cars started in 2002. Could they have been held up that long?

Thats the earilest one I've ever seen... a Neiman Marcus edition...

Did you call in that first 90 minutes until they sold all 200 or did you buy it from someone that did? Weren't they about $42,000? that was about $10,000 less than many early adopters paid.

Thanks so much for the info. Yes, I particpated in the big phone call rush. I followed the development of this car every step of the way, so I was prepared. Funny thing was that there was a mix-up in the time posted for when the lines would be open. It was posted as 10 a.m. EST. Well the first problem is that in September, daylight savings time (EDT, not EST) is still in effect, so that accounted for one ambiguity. Also, I believe the phone center was in Texas which is on Central Time. In any event, whatever the reason, the lines didn't open until 11 a.m. EDT. So I was calling for a full hour, listening to a recording that said call in on the date originally posted....even though that time had passed. Someone finally answered around 11, and I got my car. Exactly one year later, to the day, my dealer informed me that my car was delivered.

And yes, you are correct, I only paid $41,995 before taxes and delivery.
