Nope, its not the SST that made it rare
For 2005 Tbirds
81 percent had the SST
Only 22 percent did NOT have a hardtop
Only 6 percent were the deluxe with painted wheels
Only 16 percent had the standard black interior

I can tell you when it was built and stuff like that but nothing to help make the decision to purchase.. I assume you know there were only 1,500 PCRs made. Freedom Ford of Pueblo, Colorado originally sold it on Jan 13, 2005. Good luck, it's a pretty nice car....
 
I did buy it last Friday as it is flawless. It did have the window sticker, regional market value markup sheet and the orignal sales reciept. The car also came with the complete mylar kit (unused), the ash tray, HT stand/cover, front license plate bracket (un-installed) and the soft boot was unopened and still in the original packaging. The car is complete as it was delivered and looks brand new. It's PCR number is also below 100 of 1000.

I just noticed a mis-type in my previous message - of course you are correct there were 1,000 PCRs and 1,500 of the bronze 50th anniversary edition made.

Your car was ordered 12/10/2003, built 1/12/2004, at the dealer 1/23/2004 and sold 1/13/2005.

The number tag, x of 1,000, was not the exact order they were built. Yours was one of 35 PCRs built on 1/12/2004 and were between 61 and 96. It would take a little work on my part to find the exact order yours was built but if its important to you Ill dig into it.
 
how rare?

Just bought an O3 Premium Whisper White T-Bird with Whisper White partial interior. Also has the white hard-top, as well as the soft top. It has the chrome wheels, heated seats, and optional manual shift too. I am going to LOVE this car! We were so lucky to find it.....and with less than 8000 miles on it! So how many like mine were made in 03? Just wondering.....and any other information you might have on it as well. Thanks! anna
 
Oh, I forgot to tell u my VIN number. It's 1FAHP60A13Y101893. Also, I'm not sure I stated the interior correctly. I said it's the "partial whisper white". I think that's what you call it.......black AND white leather interior on seats, shift knob, and steering wheel. NOT on door panels and lower dashboard.

Sold Date: 3/7/2003 Sold by Country Ford, Southaven, MS. Yes, yours is a "partial white" interior..... Ford did not make any "full whisper white" interiors for any year - but the James Bond 007 Coral color 2003 had performance white seats, door panels, etc. There were 538 2003 Tbirds made like yours.

How to buy...

After locating my car in Maryland in October of last year, I waited until the day after a 22 inch snowfall to go to buy it in December. It is an 02 with chrome wheels and hardtop; blue/blue with black interior and now has 19,000 miles on it.
 
2002 bird

my father bought his 2002 t-bird for his retirement gift to him self...in 2007 he passed away and it came to me...he worked for FMC for 35 years as a district manager it was my understanding he ordered this car

2002 black with black soft top and white hard top
black leather
chrome wheels

i saw the window sticker but cant find it it either got packed away with his things or pitched

its a great rememberance of my dad it sits at my shop and i think of him every time i see it...

im not sure if its a premium or deluxe what makes the difference

Premium had 7 spoke chromed wheels. The DeLuxe had painted aluminum, 21 spoke wheels. Not sure of other differences but the wheels tell it all....unless a previous owner changed them.

BTW, supplimental parking lamps were optional on both, but at no cost. Many dealers didn't even know that and thererfore some Birds are out there w/o supplimental lights.
