Early and Late 1964 dates

When ordering parts for a 64 a lot of times it asks, early 1964 or late 1964, mfg date. I am confused as foreign cars start in January for new models but American start in September for the new models? What is the cut off date for early or late in the 1964 year build date? Thanks

I have the same problem with my early '57. Some parts from '56 and new engineering for the '57. It's time to play Sherlock Holmes and investigate. As in any travel the trip is more intriguing than the destination.

There were 92.465 Tbirds in 1964 with the first serial number ending in 100001. My serial number ends in 105924 and had an original invoice date of 9/23/63. Maybe you can get a feel for when it was produced. I am guessing there were 7 or 8000 made per month?

Thanks @iwinyouwin looks like Sept. is ground zero for first new car to be built. I am trying to replace radiator and many places ask early 64 or later 64. Doing research I see many people having to modify radiator to fit on 64 T Bird and complaining about mfg. probably not knowing there are two radiators for the 64 year.
