I am flying out to get an 05 thunderbird and going to put it on a transporter to take back home....1500 miles away. The car has not been started in about 6 months. I have a battery waiting for me at a Ford dealership. I was curious as to what tool I need to take the battery out? Screw driver and maybe a wrench or two....can anyone give me some input on exactly what to bring??? There are no tools where I am picking it up from...other than going to lowes and buying some but Id rather just bring my own.

I believe a half inch and nine sixteenths socket set with a small screw driver should do it. Don't forget to unattach the drain tube from the battery also, and be sure the new one is vented as well.
