Cruise Control

I have similar problem. The cruise control icon does not activate when switch toggled. Also, icon does not display on dash board when started

Ford dealer replaced several computers 4 years ago when dashboard did not light up. Other issues with power door licks were a problem too.
Now, when I attempt to utilize cruise control, nothing happens. Also, I didn’t feel the brake pedal pulsate when I tried a panic stop. This car is a real POS. Only 9400 miles o. It!
Ford only gave me a 4 year warranty on my FEM. Time is the killer here not mileage. These old computer parts go bad with time. When my cruise control went out, it was the clock spring going bad. I went a year before I replaced it. After the cruise control went, the radio controls went out and then the air bag light came on. The new clock spring fixed all that.

Thanks for the quick response.
Does ford have the ability to test the clock spring without removing the steering wheel? Also, how do I confirm the ABS is operating correctly? I tried several panic stops and all four wheels locked up. I felt no pulsing of the brake pedal like I do on other abs equipped cars.
I read somewhere that the cruise control and abs utilize the same switch on the brake pedal. The stop lights work normally

There is two different brake switches, one for brake lights, and the other for cruse.
They are next to each other.
