Well, in case somebody cares, my beautiful Blue Bird is on a Southbound train chugging its way to Atlanta.

At this very minute, it is about 40 miles north of Chattanooga on train #282.

It is due in to the Hapeville railyard about 6:00PM. It will be offloaded tomorrow morning and be put on a truck to go to the dealer tomorrow or Tuesday. I can assure you that I will do everything possible to make it happen tomorrow.

The wait is getting awful!!!!!
But you already knew that.

Joelga;

I'm guessing that you will post when your Bird hits the dealers lot. Did I hear you say something about you letting your dealer put it on his showroom floor for a couple of weeks? Good luck and hope your not in the "delivery room" too long.

Joel: Since I'm sure we will not see as much of you on the forum once your blue bird arrives, I wanted to give you an early congratulations on getting your dream car. It took me over a year of searching, visiting and talkig to dealers and following leads down many dead end streets. It was only through this forum and a heads up from Clebus several months ago that I found a California dealer to order my dream car. I have only had it out three+ days because of the lousy Indiana weather (rainy and windy again today darn it). You will enjoy the car it is everything you anticipate and people love it. I had it out for just an hour yesterday before the rains came in and a guy chased me down at the hardware store just to see the car and talk about it. Good luck, Joel just hang in for a few more days.

Joel, I have had my Red Bird one month. Fortunately there are lots of 'Top Down' days here in Galveston, Tx. You will meet many new folks and I hope you enjoy folks staring, smiling and waving to you. Enjoy

Bill

Oh, well just another day, but.........

IIIII GOOOOOOOOOT MYYYYYYYYYY CARRRRRRRRR!!!

Hell yes. Drove it home three hours ago...it is absolutely fantastic and I am so happy I can't stand myself.

Just in time for the Great Georgia Road Rally.
If anyone needs a ride....my wife is not going to be able to go...family commitments.
So call me or email me if you don't have your car yet and you want to help me drive/navigate.

Again, thanks very much to the many people on this board who have made this long journey
bearable. Especially RT Bird aka jodrod and tbird.
Well, gotta go now, I need to sit in the garage in a lawn chair and stare at my new "baby".

Oh yes. rotation number is......#5856.

Congrats! I'm glad the board was helpful with your wait.

Congratulations on getting your car. Now I just hope you make it to The Great Georgia Rally. After all these sleepless nights wondering if your car would make it or not, you'll probably sleep for a week and miss the rally. lol.

joelja - I'd take you up on that offer except your wife might not understand, nor my husband and you're just too far away.
