My step son recently purchased a 1955 Tbird. I'm helping him fix a few minor problems with the car. The speedometer doesn't work. It has a new cable which works fine with the rear wheels off the ground and in gear. The cable spins counter clockwise with the angle attached to the trans. The speedometer in the cluster spins free and spins clockwise. The trans is an original PMB 32-13495 but has a tail shaft from a 1957. Could the different tail shaft cause the speedometer cable to spin the opposite direction and if so where can I get a 55 tail shaft.
