Bought my 93 gmc typhoon from a doctor in Muncie IN 6 years ago, was shocked to see what he was paying for plates then.We pay $75 Canadian here in Ontario. $213 to order personal plate. Just went to try for BLACKICE,but it was taken.

I just paid $70 for my personalized plate in California; renewal is $45.

Fees for personalized plates vary from $41 to $90 depending upon which plate design you order.

North Carolina fee is $30 for the tag, unless you personalize it, which costs an additional $10. Specialty tags (Cape Hatteras lighthouse, collegiate plates, etc.) are an additional $25 per year. Math adds up to my annual tag fee of $65 for the tag on Amadeus.
