I have an 88 Turbo Bird, and was wondering how hard it would be to convert it to a one wire charging system. The reason I am asking is that the car since I have had it, it has had a charging issue. One minute it is charging at 14.34Volts, revv the car and it spikes to 18+ volts and causes the car to cut the spark. But turn off the car and start it again and it is fine. Replaced the alternator, starter solenoid, starter, and checked the wire bundles going to all the for mentioned parts. But still does the same thing, the car is in extremely good condition and I hate to see it sit collecting dust.
