Hello all! just picked up a clean 1977 with a good running but gutless 302 and was wondering what all would be needed to swap in a 351w longblock. mainly wondering if the brackets on front of the engine are the same (alt. and p.s.) and if my exhaust manifolds would work. thank you!

Hi I’m looking to do the same swap 87 full-size bronco I know the brackets are not interchangeable I’ve got a a 351 rebuildable roller motor with all bracketed migh be selling

Some of the brackets will work, depends on the year of the 351. Exhaust manifolds will work but the y pipe will not.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but yes you absolutely can swap a 351w in without any issue. The Y pipe fits, the tranny bellhousing works, the radiator and tranny cooling lines are the exact same. You shouldnt have any issues.
