Hey guys. I'm new to the restoration family. But I have a 1970 Tbird that I got passed down from my dad. I'm going to start getting running and focusing on the engine. I live in Las Vegas. Where's the best place to find new/ used parts? Websites, shops, etc..
I appreciate any help. Thanks.

It depends on the parts. Try classiquecars.com for hard to find stuff. Rock auto has quite a lot, but not much OEM.

Summit racing and jegs have some stuff too. And ebay has some NOS stuff but DON'T assume just because it's NOS that it is functional. Things rust in boxes too, as I recently found out the hard way.

And get the 1970 Ford manual on CD. It's a must-have for electrical and vacuum info.

I do not know why, but for 67 to 71 T-Birds it is super difficult to find things. Not many did specialise on these years. And if you find what you need, you realy have to pay for it....

The 1970 Ford service manuals are available in book form. The five books are reprinted into two volumes.

Rock Auto (mentioned above) is a good source for service parts.

Mac's is another good source

The good news about the Ford 429 engine is that it's in the same family as the Ford 460, which was made for almost 30 years. The major differences between the 429 and the 460 is the crank and the piston - virtually everything else interchanges.

The Ford big block has a lot of fans, too.
