My canceling cams on my turn signal switch are broken. I've searched online and on this forum but cannot find instructions on replacing just the turn signal canceling cam on a Thunderbird. The canceling cam can be purchased without buying the entire turn signal switch. Has anyone done this? I pulled the turn signal off with enough slack on the wires to do the job. However, the canceling cam appears to be riveted in place. Is this correct? If so, does the new one also gets riveted in place? It appears to come with just a lock-type washer, so what does the washer attach to? Maybe it's just a pin that the washer clips on to and not riveted in place. looks pretty flush though.
