At the beginning of October (2024) I bought a used 2005 Thunderbird with 34K miles on it. I've been slowly going through the car as if I'd owned it for the last 20 years to maintain and preserve the car for our future use. Since I bought it out-of-state, I had to get a new title and registration along with new plates. I was notified by the State DMV that to finish my registration process I had to have the emissions checked to verify the car is still functioning within spec.
Hurray! It passed with flying colors.
I wasn't feeling very creative about a vanity license plate, so opted for the Wisconsin "Road America" plate with whatever number they assign. With more than 25 years of serious track time and racing at Road America, I feel the plate will be a nice remembrance of those years.
