has any one had any problem with there transmission we just got our bird back ford had to put in a new trans @275 miles

Not yet ! But I've only got 260 on my Venus.......

What was the failure mode?

What happened?? I am not real happy with mine. When leaving a stop , the engine races a too about 1500 RPM and then the trans catches. his is fun sometimes, but in parking lots, i have to be very carful. i have talked to the dealer about this and they are not sure what is going on. i will have to leave it with them before the "thunder on 66" and have them check it out more carfully.

was shifting from 5th to 4th @60 mpg and on start it would somtimes miss 2nd or 3rd and rev up the o2 t-bird has a 02 explorar trans in it ,the dealer try a relay pack at frist and did not help had a new trans send overnight installed so fare it works fine but i only have it home from the dealer which is about 15 miles.
