Transmission Dipstick Length - 1971 C6

I recently made the mistake of taking the transmission dipstick out to check fluids, and then forgot to put it back in. Drove away, and now it is gone. Can anyone tell me (or measure) what the correct length would be so that I can buy the proper replacement? It is a 71 bird with C6/429. Thanks!

Is the stick the same length as the 69 thunderbird? Because if so I know a place that still may have the original ones. That's where I got mine. I can always go and pull it out and get the part numbers for you.
