Well, I got my insurance square away. Quick rundown--
- My 1990 Acura Integra was about $350 per 6 months.
- Got my T-bird in June and the rate went up to $500 for both vehicles for the remainder of the 6-month period.
- Got a letter from my insurance company telling me they were "reevaluating" my insurance due to the "high performance vehicle".
- My new 6-month rate quote was $1150 (yes, 6 months!) for both vehicles. And that's with a totally clean record.
- Went to insweb.com to compare rates. Suffice it to say I have a new insurer (Kemper) at $440 for both vehicles for six months. And the rate is guaranteed for 12 months.

I had a very good experience with insweb.com. It's one of those free-to-compare-different-issurers type deal. I'm saving a bundle.

icrovop, if you haven't found your new insurer yet, I would recommend checking insweb/Kemper since you are in my area.

Whew!

Thaser- Thanks for the info. I'll keep a close eye on my carrier. I've been with them for 25 years, the only insurance company that would take a chance on a 22 year old with a new 5-speed 280z. My record is clean also. My initial rate is good, but I hope they don't reevaluate like yours did. Give me a shout if you ever get out Clifton way.
