Old Partner,

Probably the best diecast of the '57 out there right now is in 1:18th scale. The ERTL Precision 100 Series '57 T-bird is currently available in Starmist (light) blue or red and rose mist is supposed to be available in the near future. This series was commisioned by FORD and is as detailed as the 1:24 cars from the Franklin or Danbury Mints. You can find them on ebay for between $40-$50 dollars. The SRP is $69.95. These cars are well worth the price and people that know scale models think they are a real bargain.

i have found a lot of very good die casts at good prices. They currently have the ERTL 100 Percision on sale. It is starmist blue and you can preorder the Dusk Rose which is due in April. It is the best '57 model you will find. I have one and am very satisfied.
