I now have the same issue as many. When car is hot, after sitting for over 10 minutes, it idles VERY rough for almost a minute before smoothing out. Here is what I have done : new NGK Coils, new NGK ruthenium spark plugs, new throttle position sensor, 4 new oxygen sensors, new air filter, thouroughly cleaned every nook and cranny of the Throttle Body (it wasn't even dirty) Cleaned the MAF Sensor (which had been recently replaced) New fuel filter, New Fuel Injectors, New Fuel Pressure Sensor, and Techron and HEET ISO in the gas tank - and it still happens.

You need to put a monitor on it and check the fuel trim cold and hot it should stay around 0 - 1 or 2 if it goes positive + 1 or above you have a vacuum leak, or you may have a injector leaking, these are a couple of things I’d check first, it doesn’t sound like a fuel pump issue

Another thought is the timing chain tensioner witch is operated off the oil pump, ford over the years had many problems with this on a lot of there engines, I use Amsoil in mine and never had a issue from day one

I have had the same issue with no check engine light. Replaced and cleaned all kinds of things. Thought it might be the gas. Bought it from several different stations. It got so bad that it was doing it every time it was turned off for 15 to 35 minutes.
It would idle very rough every time for 30 seconds to maybe a minute or so.
What I finally did that may or may not have fixed it was to disconnect the plus side of the battery and leave it disconnected for over an hour. After reconnecting the battery (you will notice a little spark) the car started like normal. I expected that because the engine was cold. Well almost like normal, I noticed that the idle was about 200 RPM faster that normal. After 20 or 30 seconds the idle went to normal. I drove the car for about 15 minutes and then restarted it after about 25 minutes. To my chagrin, it ran rough, but only for five or six seconds then smoothed out. That was a couple of weeks ago, and it has been perfect ever since. Let me know if this works for anyone else. I will let you know if it relapses. Thanks

I went electronic on two maneuvers that helped me overcome rough idle and throttle matters; googled symptoms and AI took me to performing two procedures; idle reset procedure and throttle body relearn. Both resolved the items that a mechanic could not account for. (I have an 04 tbird.).
